A NEW NAIJA CONCIOUSNESS

“A NEW DAWN HAS COME

THE STATUE OF LIBERTY HAVE BEEN ERECTED

AISHA YUSUF HAVE BEEN UNLEASHED

THE LAZY YOUTH HAVE WOKEN UP

THE DAY NIGERIA WAKES UP, AFRICA WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN.” – PROF. PATRICK LUMUMBA

We lived in a land of milk and honey rich in mineral resources – we’re a blessed people with cultural diversity and our unique lifestyle, highlighted by our diversity, has become the source of envy to people around the world. Our tenacity for greatness has made us endure bad leadership and all the ‘ism’ that tend to hinder our greatness as a people – nepotism, favoritism and tribalism, have become the other of the day for us.

There’s a popular saying that when a Nigerian is pushed to the wall, he will jump across to the wall. Nigeria are no longer at ease!!!

Our heart bleeds

Our heart bleeds for the loss of innocent lives

Our heart bleeds for the loss future leaders

Our heart bleeds for ‘Police Brutality’

Our heart bleeds because there’s genocide in the land

Our heart bleeds because there’s an annihilation of youths and things are falling apart when the center cannot hold.

Today presents a different story of a new government, a total change that will favor the masses; my heart bleeds when the poor is murdered for nothing, lives in a society of abattoirs seeing terrific actions – we live in the same state of no laws, neglects and Pinocchio effect on speeches of those we called our leaders – today, the peace is assured and “A New Naija Consciousness” awakens, as it’s the rebirth of a new dawn and consciousness in Nigeria. Aisha Yusuf have been unleashed. The lazy youths have woken up and they will never sleep again.

End this malicious killing and genocide, let’s end this massacre and horrible behavior from these hoodlums – we live in a community where everyone one is gripped with fear and threatened – this are the people we trusted to protect us.

Using this famous proverb to describe the situation of police in Nigeria,

“Dry fish is never safe in the custody of rat”

There’s chaos in the land

Repressed voices are crying

#EndSarsNow

#EndPoliceBrutality

Repressed voices on the virtual space are crying. A new dawn has come. The Statue of Liberty has been erected In Nigeria – the likes of Aisha Yusuf, Segalink, Falz, Runtown, Tiwa Savage and Ruggedman, have set the stage for a new era of African resonances – bad governance will be replaced for freedom and liberty. We have overcome our political ethnic and political divide and we have overcome: Africa has overcome!!!

No poverty, homelessness and starvation

No more abuse of human rights

No more hindrances

No more killing

No more police extortion

No more abuse of public office

No more violence

No more youth repression

No more SARS on the street or all the antis.

We can now enjoy the peaceful Nigeria, the nation in freedom; killings have been aborted, individuals are no longer crying for unfair governance – Nigeria is our country and we deserve the best. Pointing the recent emote of #EndSarsNow, led by the famous female activist, Aisha Yusuf,

Die na die

And na only one die we get

And anyhow we that die wan happen

Na so that die go be

We want a Nigerian Society

Where the child of a nobody

Can become a somebody

Without knowing anybody…

Now we have vision for citizens, not divisions

Now we have education, not distractions

Now we have a hidden place, not hindrances

We have gained victory, no more childless homes, no more leaving families in tears, no more genocide.

The world is still battling this terrible period of Covid-19. So many have died since the surge of this virus, here, we fight for policing in this great nation and the menace of their action – freedom has been promised since 1960 but till now, Nigerians are still striving for peace and freedom.

We’re done with this problem

We’re done with this killing
